Camping la Fontaine du Hallate
Claude camping is Elisabeth is based on sustainable tourism. It's a haven for the curious, where the accommodation of the most classic to the most unusual (location, mobile home, cottage, Yurt, Pod wooden and Nordic Chalet).
Here, no pool or dancing, rather hives, locations surrounded by flowers and lots of cool, zen, cultural or sports activities on site or nearby. On site relax on site in the shade, in the Sun or visiting the garden or enjoy in high season from yoga, Tibetan bowls and foot reflexology.
Nearby enjoy the exceptional environment of the Gulf of Morbihan: swimming, beaches, hiking, visits, sports (kayak, paddle, surf), cruises between the Islands or fishing only 15 min walk from the campsite.
Here, we live in harmony with nature: solar energy, water conservation, waste sorting, products manufactured cleaning house... Claude and his wife Elisabeth were pushed very far the respect for the environment.
BIODIVERSITY, NATURE & PERMACULTURE
Evidence of a natural functioning, the diversity of the fauna and flora on the site is such that the campsite is rated refuge LPO refuge bats, butterfly garden, Garden of Noah. Signs and booklets list also 15 species of butterflies.
The birds benefit from the cottage (nesting boxes installed here and there for Robins, chickadees, owls, owls, bats, sparrows) and cover (worms, caterpillars, insects, mice, shrews, seeds and the compost heap) and insects, a hotel 2 stars! A dozen of hives have also been installed and the production progresses.
The locations are separated by tall grass, trees to high stem of local origin, plants flowers, and raspberries. More than 250 species of trees and shrubs, among which we can pitch the tent. All plantations are local species. A herb garden and a vegetable garden are available to complete the natural setting.
The maintenance of these 3 hectares was thought to be always respectful of nature while being the simplest possible: no collection of mowing, but ejection to hedges of separation, thus creating a bed of humus to the feet of trees and shrubs certain areas are left wild to encourage biodiversity, and no watering.
Here, it is careful to not to waste. Consumption per night is 70 L/night against an average of 150L in a private home. And in the showers are 10 L/min which are saved as a result economic taps and timed, a reducer of pressure and upon each arrival to tap one valve to limit the flow.
Water heated by solar energy is also saved: 6 faucets ball output distribute water at different temperatures according to the uses: washbasin, shower, sink, laundry... Finally the rain water is recovered and used for external washing of the caravans at the beginning of season and the ground of the toilets during the season. The next step is to connect it to power to the toilet!
Here, and we're certainly agree with them, the management of energy and electricity, first through the rationalization of consumption without so far affect the comfort of campers responsible. This first step resulted in a decline of the power of the meter. In addition, photovoltaic panels on health and on the the camping gear storage shed, produce 2.5 times the needs of the campsite. This allows the campsite first of a self-sufficient in energy, to sell energy with the local provider Enercoop Brittany.
Many small actions based on the common sense contribute to lower each year the amount of waste out of the campsite: priority, drinking water from the tap instead of use bottles and sort his waste thanks to the numerous proposed ferries on the Camping: the "menhircomposteurs" for green waste (peels, tea, coffee) to obtain a nice fertilizer, the bread bin that feeds 2 goats from the campsite, the plugs for an association tray and the battery tray. Finally, Claude asks everyone to make the return of documentation paper at the end of his stay.
After use, the water cycle continues, with the treatment of wastewater. On the campsite it is a system of phytoextraction that does the job. This installation requires no energy, just a little oversight and does not pollute.
Finally and to go to the end of the process the visitor is asked to not to come by car, to prefer the train from Paris to valves, then the bus walking or biking. It is also possible to rent an electric station in Vannes, rechargeable car on the campsite.
