This museum you will discover interactively the history of the Hieleros (traditional ice cutters) of the community, their traditions, their culture, their beliefs and local legends about the Chimborazo.
The Kichwa Puruhá people indeed erected this volcano as a God and mythological tales abound to describe its relationship with the other Andean mountains.
Rate: $ 2 per person

You can find an offer of accommodation at Palacio Real full Board as well as in communities around San Francisco and La Moya.

Responsible stance

These activities are part of the tourism projects of the Ahuana association which supports the initiatives economic, educational, environmental and cultural Andean indigenous communities of Calpi in Ecuador to improve the conditions of life of these populations, limit rural exodus and preserve the culture of the quichua people.
