Red de Turismo Comunitario de la Zona Maya de Quintana Roo

This (red) network includes the Mayan community tourism initiatives in the region. Communities that are part of the network are in natural areas away from urban centres and offer trips whose purpose is to enhance and to discover their traditional and/or culinary cultures and their natural environment .

Community and nature tourism that offers network is part of a sustainable logic that is fundamental to the perpetuation of their ancestral culture in close relationship with nature. The community network initiatives are designed to improve the quality of life of those communities in respect, equity and solidarity and the revaluation of their culture and their natural environment.
