Silver Naga
Silver Naga is a luxury hotel in Vang Vieng.
The daily yoga classes, views breathtaking, a pool, a cocktail bar...
FYI: Silver Naga, made reference to a snake of water in Laotian mythology, supposed to protect the rivers and the land of Laos.
Responsible stance
I first spotted Silver Naga on Instagram thanks to their handmade furniture and local (made directly to Vang Vieng) and I discovered that they were more... (according to their site - expected your experience to learn more)
First they have a fairly extensive approach to assist their staff in their career development and provide good working conditions (of course you should go there to ask one of them feeling - we're counting on you!):
-Fair remuneration - recruitment in Vang Vieng and rural areas
-Encouragement to continue studies and education - system of paid maternity leave
-Reward loyalty and a lot of approach for the environment and the development of the local economy:
-solar water heater
-drinking filtered water available at the front desk to fill and reuse water bottles
-bottles of SOAP and shampoo rechargeable in the rooms
-sheets and towels changed every 3 days or on demand rather than daily
-products and services owned by local businesses, insofar as possible, or Laos, and fair trade
-fresh produce grown locally, often by residents of nearby villages.
-products of toilet natural and crafts created exclusively for Silver Naga by the craftsmen finish in Vientiane
-For the construction are locals who have been hired - the Naga Silver offers hundreds of furniture manufactured on site by local artisans
-Silk pillows are hand-woven and coloured with natural dyes by artisans in the village of Saoban
-the vannerievient of local producers
-culture of their own delicious organic sticky rice...
